This powerful photograph shows a traditional Indigenous totem pole in Kitwanga, British Columbia, its weathered cedar surface etched with history and tradition. Standing tall among the totems of the region, this century-old monument once belonged to Chief Wiha of the Wolf Clan. The intricate carving of Will-a-daugh, a mother figure tenderly cradling her child, embodies themes of protection and lineage, reflecting the deep cultural and familial ties of the Gitxsan people. Once immortalized in a 1928 painting by Emily Carr, the totem remains a striking testament to the enduring artistry and heritage of the Indigenous communities of northern British Columbia.

SHIPPING INFO

Please allow up to 4 weeks delivery time for open edition prints and up to 6 weeks for limited edition prints. You will be given a tracking number when your print ships. We only charge a small portion of the actual shipping cost.

Prints are safely packed and fully insured for shipping. If your print arrives damaged, let us know immediately and we will organize a replacement.
