This is the famous Fairmont Banff Springs, which originally opened in 1888. This viewpoint is from across the Bow River at a place called Surprise Corner. I knew that a fresh dusting of snow would show this icon of the Rockies at its best.

Using daylight balanced film at dusk has created an intense blue colour for the outdoor light which contrasts nicely with the warmer oranges and yellows of the indoor artificial lights, making them look very warm, cozy, and welcoming.

Our open edition prints are supplied unframed. Framed pictures are for demonstration purposes only.

SHIPPING INFO

Please allow up to 4 weeks delivery time for open edition prints and up to 6 weeks for limited edition prints. You will be given a tracking number when your print ships. We only charge a small portion of the actual shipping cost.

Prints are safely packed and fully insured for shipping. If your print arrives damaged, let us know immediately and we will organize a replacement.
