"Tulum was one of the last cities inhabited and built by the Mayans, the central American native civilization. It was at its height between the 13th and 15th centuries and only survived about 70 years after the Spanish began occupying Mexico. Tulum stands on a bluff facing east towards the Caribbean Sea and was known as the 'City Of Dawn' to its inhabitants. It certainly was a beautiful place to enjoy the sunrise!"
